Welcome to  Planet Earth Charities!

Helping Earth's Inhabitants

We all have important values and ideas, things we care about and want to improve and share with others. Sometimes we feel our ideas and values can even change the World, and we want to let other people know how they can join in and make all of our lives better as a result. At "Planet Earth Charities" we are doing our very small part making others aware of unselfish people throughout the World who are making a big difference... Thank you very much for taking the time to visit and God bless! Russ Considine

God Bless you all!

I have been very fortunate in my lifetime to have met with the founders of  a number of charities championed by those whose names are known to all:

In the Summer of 2001 I had the great honor to meet with and photograph HRH Queen Noor of Jordan while she was helping to promote the Children’s Hospital of Montifiore at a charitable fundraising polo match at Conyers Farm, Greenwich, Ct. A trait that I have found to be very common with all Royals is a sincere desire to make one feel at ease in their presence and HRH Queen Noor was no exception. The online link to this charity can be found at: http://www.cham.org

Queen Noor is also a Board Member of the Save the Children foundation whose Senior Vice President Mark Shriver, is known to me through his wife Jeanne Ripp Shriver's family, who were good friends of my family from Lake George in New York. Mark's mother is the late Eunice Kennedy Shriver (& sister of the late President John F. Kennedy), and his father is the late Sargent Shriver who founded the Peace Corps in the early 1960s. In addition to Save the Children:http://www.savethechildren.org

Mark is also the President of Save the Children Action Network:

In 2013, I was again very fortunate to have photographed another charitable polo event at Conyer’s Farm in Greenwich, Ct., when Great Britain’s Prince Harry appeared to garner publicity for his very worthy charitable cause: Sentebale found online at: http://sentebale.org At Sentebale, the priority is to help Lesotho’s most needy and vulnerable children, many of whom are the very unfortunate victims of extreme poverty and the HIV/AIDS epidemic. Sentebale funds voluntary services that offer these children support through meals and PsychoSocial support, with the goal of helping that child(/children) to lead a more rewarding life. I have also been a long time advocate of wildlife causes, and I highly recommend the charitable causes of Prince Harry's brother and sister-in-law: the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. In particular, I have no hesitation recommending their excellent United for Wildlife charity:  http://www.unitedforwildlife.org as well as their Tusk Trust- http://www.tusk.org/index/us

The Arts are also beneficiaries of the well known. MoMA (the New York

Metropolitan Museum of the Arts):http://www.moma.org has benefited greatly from the generosity of an acquaintance David Rockefeller and his late wife Peggy, as well as land trusts throughout the United States, in particular Peggy Rockefeller’s environmental concerns for the State of Maine.

Decades ago, I was also very privileged to have met Monaco's Princess Grace Kelly through a college Professor who was a childhood friend of Princess Grace. Honoring her name through charity, her family has established the Princess Grace Foundation to benefit those involved in Theatre, Dance and the Visual arts as a living tribute to the late Princess who was committed throughout her too short lifetime helping those who were emerging in their respective fields to help achieve their goals: http://www.pgfusa.com

I hope to add many more favorite charities as time permits... Thank you for viewing,
